After six months of closure for redevelopment in 2018, and followed by the closure due to the pandemic, Boracay finally reopened for tourists!

Before the closure for “uplifting” the beach, Boracay was one of the famous vacation islands in Asia. It’s fame as the top islands to visit in the Philippines attracted tourists from all over the world. When talking about the Philippines, Boracay will surely be on the top of mind of many travellers. In fact, Boracay was the first place I visited in the Philippines. Upon setting foot on the island, I immediately realised why it is so popular.

Boracay caters to all tastes. Whether you’re a luxury traveler or a budget backpacker, with friends or family, you’ll find something to fall in love with here.

There is so much to do on the island itself besides the famous white sand beach area. Aside from the main island, there are several smaller islands to the side and tourists can join the boat trip to explore too! In this post, I will share from my own experiences on the top things to do when in Boracay.

As now after the pandemic, we have to adapt to the “new normal”. There are also new rules and regulations that need to be followed before visiting the island.

The long white beach is the most famous place to hangout in Boracay. It spans a 4-kilometre long in area and it is divided into 3 stations:

Station 1: On the Northern side of the beach, you will find most of the luxury hotels here.

Station 2 : This is the centre of the beach and it is the most crowded out of the 3. Most of the restaurants, shops and clubs are located here.

Station 3 : If you like a quieter zone, then Station 3 is for you. It is least developed and mostly covered with hostels.

But of course, don’t forget about the sunrise too! It is equally beautiful and it’s always a wonderful thing to welcome the new day by the beach in this way. So enjoy and savour this experience!
